Christian Fleming earned his Master’s in Geospatial Information Science and Technology from North Carolina State University in 2023, following a Graduate Certificate in GIS in 2022 and a BA in 2019. He joined the Machado Lab in 2022, contributing to the development of the RABapp through digitization and data management. While completing the MGIST, Christian supported research at the Machado Lab with spatial data processing and analysis. In Spring 2024, Christian commenced his doctoral studies at the Center for Geospatial Analytics at NC State. His research at the Machado Lab focuses on using advanced spatial data analysis to enhance livestock disease modeling and on-farm biosecurity. Christian is interested in employing GIS techniques and geospatial technology to advance disease control and prevention.
