RABapp™ collects data through a systematic five-stage process (Figure 1) that begins with fostering stakeholder awareness, progresses through cataloging biosecurity plans and creating maps, integrates data into GIS formats, obtains state approval, and culminates in combining movement data with biosecurity plans and disease distribution information in user-friendly modules
Stage 1: Foster awareness and understanding of SPS biosecurity plan components among stakeholders.
Stage 2: Collect and catalog SPS biosecurity plans and create crude maps of biosecurity infrastructure.
Stage 3: Integrate SPS data and convert infrastructure maps and attributes into a GIS map.
Stage 4: Achieve state approval for biosecurity database GIS maps and integrate with real-time disease occurrence.
Stage 5: Combine animal and vehicle movement data with SPS biosecurity plans and disease distribution through easy-to-navigate modules.
